The State of Qatar is home to some of the finest kitesurfing locations in the Middle East. Surrounded by water on 3
sides and blessed with regular wind you are sure to find a variety of playgrounds. The season starts in September
when temperatures become tolerable. Wetsuits are not required until November. December and January are the
coldest and will require full length 3mm wetsuit. By late March wetsuits will start getting left at home. May and June
are hot, but the wind blows all the time. The 1st of July typically is the end of the season as water and air are not
tolerable. The dominant wind direction is North west, The majority of spots work best in this direction. South winds are
less frequent and often bring storms, but when a good south wind comes, it will be the smoothest wind in Qatar.
